An unforgettable double-dose of Bojangles' Summer Shootout racing awaits fans flocking to the frontstretch quarter-mile at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Aug. 1-2, as Championship Week rolls into the world's premier grassroots racing extravaganza with hotly contested points battles, an NHRA Pro Mod exhibition and a rocking fireworks show sure to provide a short-track spectacle unlike any other. The final two rounds of the Bojangles' Summer Shootout will feature door-to-door racing from the future stars of motorsports aboard Legend Cars and Bandoleros in an all-out fight for speedway supremacy. Contenders to capture Bojangles' Summer Shootout division crowns include a couple of drivers with familiar last names: Ryan Truex, the cousin of Coca-Cola 600 winner Martin Truex Jr., has a shot at the AAA Carolinas Legend Car Semi-Pro championship, while Austin Green - the son of 1994 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion David Green - is one of several hotshoes looking to unseat defending In-Light Wellness Legend Car Pro Division champion Jordan Black. Gates open at 5 p.m. with preliminary action kicking off at 5:30 p.m. Races are scheduled to begin around 7 p.m., and post-race fireworks will provide an illuminated exclamation point to Tuesday's proceedings. Fans can find a free live stream of the Bojangles' Summer Shootout at CharlotteMotorSpeedway.com, USLegendCars.com and GoPRN.com as well as on the US Legend Cars YouTube channel starting at 7 p.m. each night.
